GLENDALE, Calif. -- I'm off onto a new route that goes around the Americana and over to San Fernando on Colorado. This is a shade over a 10k if completed. Went out at High Noon. The needle was at 90 outside and honestly, in the sun, it was higher.
I was happy getting to the base of the Highland hill, which stood at 5 miles at a decent pace. I'm glad I called it a run then, as I could barely comfortably walk up the hill and back home. I needed to put concerted effort into just walking it.
A good run, I thought. I was happy with it. I'd like to tempt this course some more. But I should really start avoiding the midday sun.
