5K Race: Santa Monica/Venice Christmas Run (AA)

VENICE -- So we ran the boardwalk and had a good time. It felt better -- considerably better in most ways -- than the Turkey Trot. But the time seemed to be the same.

I wasn't as concerned with the heel this time, knowing I likely had the strength in it to not snap in a late race push. But the time turned out pretty much the same...though neither was particularly well run, so it's not a real surprise you can't trust the time.

23:40ish...finished 162 out of 1062. Enjoyable. Plus, there's photos to post. One features me running by a hippie den -- which Venice is filled with. The other shows me dusting some little dish. She'll think twice before testing her fitness against me. Weird how the race looks empty from these shots. Seemed like I was in traffic the whole time.
