23 Min Mile Run (Race) -- Jet to Jetty 5k--

LOS ANGELES -- Out by the airport, there's a park called Dockweiler on the beach that is the only place you can start a beach fire without a permit. Cool, eh? So there's also a 5-10k every year. And Schmidt happened to be in town. And JDP wanted to race. At least it's another run; at this rate it will be the only one I get all week. Worst.

So I sneakily signed him up without really telling him I was doing so. Pretty weak to be sure, but he did it. We had to rush all over hell and didn't enjoy large parts of that effort, but...we did it. Schmidt was just over 20, much to his dismay...and I was at 23:30-ish, which was somewhat to my dismay as well, though I didn't really try very hard and haven't been training for shizz... but still. It was an easy course and we should be going in the right direction. JDP came in around 23:20.
