DOWNTOWN -- Did the Staples loop which the GPS slated at 14 miles. I think it's a bit shy of that, but a great/crisp/clear morning with a wonderful run. Some highlights -- saying "Good Morning" in exchange with the homeless woman with the mattress under the 101 on the way out of downtown and with the greeters at the Korean church near Loyola Law School. McArthur Park was lovely as always in the morning.

Also, hit a monster espresso shot @ Intelli Silver Lake because -- amazingly -- at 9:45a, there was 1 person in line. Exceptional. I think 8 people queued up behind me the moment I got in there. Nothing tastes better than a Black Cat at Mile 12. Really some great notes that come out when you are in that state. Great.
